Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a very serious disorder that profoundly affects how a person thinks, perceives the world, and acts. Most psychiatrists consider Schizophrenia to be a Neurological Disorder (something wrong with the brain). Many people with schizophrenia need extensive assistance with housing, social support and in finding and maintaining a job. People with schizophrenia often look and act strange or bizarre. Medications have been found to be effective in controlling many of the symptoms of schizophrenia.
