Questions and answers generated at a brainstorming session with the coaches and teams in March 2004.
We are an early childhood center and have not been able to generate school-wide consequences. (Looking for creative ways to deal with this)
• Consider restitution rather than punishment (kick someone, do something nice for them)• Teach social skills, reteach and immediate reward
• Get all staff on the same page, not so much consequences, we need to do the problem solving skills, better choice chair, teaching rather than a consequence, developmental level needs to be considered, teaching more than consequence at this level
• Pictures with right choice (visual representations so they can choose the correct one)• Each teacher generate hierarchy they use in the classroom to keep them in the classroom, all using the same strategies
• Use the 12 minute solution with the staff
