Iowa Juvenile Home Silent Art Auction

Please consider participating in an art silent auction during the Iowa Behavioral Alliance’s 2007 Annual Conference to raise dollars for the Iowa Juvenile Home’s art department. The silent auction is made possible by a partnership between the Iowa Juvenile Home and the Iowa Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health.

During past Alliance conferences, an art show has been held featuring unique artwork created by Iowa Juvenile Home youth. Many conference participants have asked if they could purchase the quality artwork. Over the past year, the Iowa Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health has worked with Iowa Juvenile Home staff and youth to make it possible for this year’s conference participants to purchase the young people’s artwork. All proceeds from the art silent auction will go directly to support the Iowa Juvenile Home’s art department.

Auction Process

On Monday, October 1st from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM artwork will be displayed immediately outside the conference registration area. If you are interested in participating in the auction, please be sure to pick-up an auction number at the registration desk.

Bidding

During the Monday, October 1st morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks, you will have the opportunity to bid on the displayed artwork. The bidding process will work as follows:

• Bidders obtain an auction number at the registration desK

• A notepad will be placed next to each piece of artwork

• Bidders need to write their bid and corresponding auction number on the notepad

• At the end of the day, the highest bidders will be posted by the registration desk

Payment

Successful bidders will need to pay for their artwork at the registration desk. Please note that only cash and checks will be accepted. Checks will be made payable to the Iowa Juvenile Home Foundation. After payment has been received, conference staff will assist successful bidders in claiming their artwork.
